Our latest project is all about spreading a little happiness. The Happiness Bank is like a normal bank but with one great difference – it deals not in money but in happiness. Customers can come in and invest some of their happiness – stories about events, things, people that made them happy. Other customers can come in for a Happiness Loan and listen to and read about the inspiring and cheering stories that other people have invested. You'll find all sorts of warm and cheering surprises at our Bank and we can guarantee that you'll go out smiling.

 

Our first branch opened on Tontine Street in Folkestone from 24 – 28 February and it's been a huge success. We've already had invitations to open up branches in Canterbury and London and are looking to create a Happiness Bank especially for Festivals.

Our initial Happiness Bank project was a Quarterhouse Residency and was also supported by KCC who recognise the need for a little uplift and cheer in these long, wet winter days.
